Ship your first game. Own every decision.

Courses, assets, and a community for developers who want to build real games and stay in control of their code.

Built for developers who want to ship

Understanding is the skill that doesn’t expire

AI has changed the entry point to game development. You don’t need to write every line from scratch. You need to understand what’s being built and stay in control of it.

Know what you’re building
Every lesson builds understanding, not just output. AI accelerates the work, but you stay in control of every decision and know enough to debug and extend what you ship.
Build something real
No contrived exercises. No filler. Every course ends with something you can actually use.
Everything in one place
Courses, professional asset packs, and a community. Personalized AI learning context is on the roadmap, so the platform grows alongside you.

What Bastion Offers

Start free. Go as deep as you want.

Courses, assets, and a community, all built around one goal: shipping games you're proud of.

Courses

Project-based courses that end in something shippable. Build real games, understand every system, ship with confidence.

Asset Packs

Professional game art you can drop straight into your own projects. Licensed for commercial use. Buy once, use in anything you ship.

Community

Start free with Tapwing and free asset samples. Join the Discord, share what you're building, and be part of figuring this out together.

What Makes Bastion Different

Craft first. Tools second.

Not a course factory. Not a tutorial library. A platform built around one belief: that understanding what you build matters more than how fast you build it.

Stay in control

AI is part of the workflow, but understanding is the goal. Every lesson builds the mental model so you can debug, extend, and iterate with confidence, whatever tools you’re using.

Build real projects

No contrived exercises. Every course builds toward something real you can ship, extend, or put to work immediately.

Built by someone doing it

Not a content factory. Bastion is built by a solo developer genuinely working through the same questions, building in public, and sharing what actually works.

Why Bastion exists

An honest answer.

AI is reshaping how games are made: the code, the art, the music. It's exciting and unsettling, and pretending otherwise wouldn't be honest.

Sebastian Feistl, founder of Bastion

Sebastian Feistl

Founder, Bastion

I don't know what the future of learning to code looks like. Bastion is how I'm figuring it out.

I built Bastion because I'm passionate about game dev and I believe AI should empower the people making games, not replace them. There's a lot of uncertainty in where this is all going. Bastion is my attempt to build a place where we work through that together: learning, shipping, and staying in control of our craft.

Where This Is Heading
